The smart thing is to join them.” Bruce Barton Congressmen & Author The Faculty Mr. Matt Dodd: Mr. Dodd has two master degrees, one in Marriage and Family Therapy and the other in Arts and Communication. The courses he teaches include Principles of Communication, Small Group Comm., Interpersonal Comm., Gender Comm., Conflict Management and Persuasion. He joined the McMurry Comm. Department directly from Graduate School in 2001. Mrs. Kris Drumheller: Mrs. Drumheller is working on her Ph D in Organizational Rhetoric and received a Masters in Speech Communication. The courses she teaches or will teach include: Organizational Communication, Public Relations, and Research Methods. With the help of her degree’s she has worked for Keep Austin Beautiful, and taught at Texas A&M as well as the University of Missouri. Mr. Matt Drumheller: Mr. Drumheller is working on his Ph D in Integration of Religion, Sociology and Communication at Oxford Graduate School, in Tennessee. He received two master degrees, one in communication studies and his second in Divinity which he from Texas Tech University. The courses he teaches or will teach include: Communication Theory, Persuasion, and Public Speaking. His work experience includes working part time for seven and a half years at different universities, working as a pastor, and as a hospital administrator. Mr. Joel Whittemore: Mr. Whittemore received his MA in Communication from Abilene Christian University in 1996, and has completed 15 hours toward a terminal degree (PhD) in Rhetoric and Public Affairs at Texas A&M University. The courses that he teaches include: Principles of Communication, Perspectives in Rhetoric, Mass Communication, Rhetorical Criticism, Persuasion, Media Criticism, and Ethics.
