DENTAL TRIAGE TELPHONE LINE / IN-HOURS
AND OUT-OF HOURS URGENT CARE
The Dental Helpline based at Alsager Clinic will close on Tuesday 31st March 2015.
For all patients requiring in-hours or out-of hours urgent dental care, or who have
enquiries regarding dental services there is one new phone number
0161 476 9651
Patients must ring this number if they require an appointment for urgent dental care at
any time.
The Dental Access Services (Dene Drive in Winsford and Weston Clinic in Macclesfield)
will close on Tuesday 31st March 2015 and cannot accept any new patients after this date.
In-hours urgent care will be provided from 10 dental practices throughout the East
Cheshire area from Wednesday 1st April 2015.
Patients ‘dropping in’ to the DAC services or EDS will be given the phone number to
contact the dental triage/helpline and will be directed to an appointment if appropriate.
The weekend/bank holiday service will now be known as the ‘out of hours urgent care
service’ and will be managed by Revive Dental Care. Patients must ring the number
above to be given an appointment at one of the clinics if appropriate.
VALE ROYAL
Vale Royal Clinics (Victoria Infirmary in Northwich and Dene Drive Primary Care Centre in
Winsford) are now part of the Wirral/Chester/Western Cheshire footprint. These clinics
will not be part of East Cheshire NHS Trust as from 1st April 2015.
From 1st April 2015 patients resident in the Vale Royal area cannot be referred directly to
clinics in East Cheshire NHS Trust for special care dentistry or paediatric exodontia.
Patients requiring oral surgery can still be referred from Vale Royal areas to the Ashfields
Clinic in Sandbach via the F.D.S. online referral system based at Lymm.
Patients resident in East Cheshire can no longer be referred directly to Vale Royal clinics
for any dental treatment.
Referrals sent to the wrong location will be rejected and returned to the referring
practitioner.
