Social Studies World History SY 2015-2016 Unit (5) Name: Industrialism and a New Global Age Unit Timeline: (4.5 weeks) Note: Current events can change the pacing on these units. Current events need to be addressed when it is relevant to the information and the students’. Essential Questions 1. How did science, technology and big business promote industrial growth? 2. In what ways did the Industrial Revolution change life in the cities? 3. How did the Industrial Revolution change the old social order and long-held traditions in the Western world? 4.
