Course Objectives: To develop basic understanding of economic concepts and Institutions in Political

Science.
To provide a broad understanding of political concepts, government institutions and constitution in Political
Science
Pre-requisites: +2 from any stream
Student Learning Outcomes: To apply the knowledge of Political and Economic structure. And
to analyze their relevance in the present world.

Pedagogy for Course Delivery: The signature pedagogy of political science is essentially, a
combination of large lecture and smaller group sessions. Political sciences’ signature pedagogy
has remained relatively static. A traditional reliance on lectures, tutorials and private study
remains the contemporary basis for teaching and learning in political science
