Management Team David L. Jacobson President and Founder David is an acknowledged expert in the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Data Mining. He invented the Patent-pending DaMi2TM Artificial Intelligence (AI) Analysis Engine, which is the core of J&A’s predictive analytical capabilities. Prior to forming J&A, David served as a Senior Executive in both the Corporate setting, as Director of Technology and Operations Manager for Agilent Technologies, and the Government setting, as Director of Infrastructure Services for the Navy Medical Department and Chief Engineer for the Department of Defense for Health Affairs. He invented the AI system used to investigate the existence of Persian Gulf War Illness, and has numerous publications in the applicability of AI to analysis of large, complex Healthcare databases. David received a Master of Science degree, with honors, in Information Technology Management from the Naval Postgraduate School and a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy. Tasha L. Jessup Director of Statistical Analysis With over 13 years of experience, Tasha is regarded as one of the leading statisticians in her field. Tasha’s background is composed of performance analysis including performance testing, data collection, model development, verification, calibration and validation, specifically using techniques such as queuing theory, capacity testing, simulation, and integer programming. Prior to joining J&A, Tasha was a chief engineer at one of the largest, privately owned companies in the country where she worked on multi-billion dollar projects. Tasha received a Master of Science degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Denison University. Tasha is also an honored member of the following: Alpha Pi Mu (National Industrial Engineering Honor Society), Pi Mu Epsilon (National Mathematical Honor Society), NCR Computer Scholar, and a Denison University Mathematics Fellow. Stephen J. Manzano Director of Financial Services Steve brings to J&A his extensive experience representing and providing legal counsel to individual and institutional sponsors and investors, including financial/bank holding companies, pension trusts, foundations and endowments, in the creation and marketing of a wide-selection of private investment funds. He has managed, negotiated, and closed a wide variety of mergers and acquisitions and other corporate finance transactions in numerous industries, including financial services, communications, technology, healthcare, entertainment, transportation, manufacturing, and textile. Prior to joining J&A, Steve was a partner in the business law department and was chair of the investment funds practice group at an international law firm. Steve received a law degree from Tulane University, J.D., with honors, and was Articles Editor of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from James Madison University, B.S., magna cum laude, Omicron Delta Epsilon; Pi Sigma Alpha Faith E. Jacobson Director of Operations; Co-founder With over 11 years of program and project management experience, Faith is a seasoned IT executive with a specific focus on Information Technology projects. Faith additionally manages the J&A Customer Relations Team. Prior to cofounding J&A, Faith managed a series of multi-million dollar Federal and Commercial IT programs. She also served as on-site team leader for her company(s) on several occasions, and has been recognized as employee of the quarter several times. Faith has a strong management background in Healthcare IT, Infrastructure Capacity Planning, Web Portal Development, and Systems Deployment. Faith’s education includes the B.S. in Business Management program at National-Louis University.
