FlexiTV™ MSi3101 SDR USB Dongle User Guide Overview The FlexiTV concept combines a flexible tuner front-end and USB bridge together with a software based demodulator where the demodulation takes place on the PC’s host processor. This means that the dongle can be used for a wide range of worldwide radio and TV standards with new standards and features being added through simple PC software updates. The MSi3101 SDR Dongle uses the Mirics MSi001 and MSi2500 integrated circuits. The reference design can support the following broadcast bands: The FlexiTV software interfaces to commonly available media applications such as Windows Media Center and Cyberlink Power Cinema. VHF Band II (64 - 108 MHz) Band III (162 - 240 MHz) Band IV/V (470 - 960 MHz) As such the hardware can support the following standards: The purpose of this guide is to explain the FlexiTV software installation process. Other factors such as the power management settings may reduce the available CPU processing power leading to a poor user experience with some DVB-T signals. As such it is recommended that the “Power Options” (available through the Control Panel) are set to “High Performance” mode.
