Welcome to Singapore Polytechnic and to the start of a fulfilling and enriching learning journey in SP.
You can expect to be inspired and challenged, to be bold and different while you are here. Beyond a
multi-disciplinary education and industrial and technical training, you will get numerous hands-on
experiences, from experimenting in our state-of-the-art laboratories, working on attachment with our
industry partners, going for overseas community service projects and learning stints, to leading one
of many social, cultural and sports activities on campus.
As you explore life and learning with us, there will be many opportunities for you to make new friends
and pick up life-long skills. You will meet dedicated and experienced lecturers who will go the extra
mile to mentor and guide you. The campus is being upgraded to create more spaces to support a fun
learning environment, and for you to simply chill out.
We hope you will enjoy your time at SP. Explore the campus grounds and share your ideas to make
SP a vibrant place. Treat SP as a second home. Close to 167,000 full-time diploma graduates have
done so. Many have gone on to become professionals and successful business leaders and
entrepreneurs. Some have come back to teach or work as administrators at SP. When it's your turn,

Congratulations on being accepted into Singapore
Polytechnic‘s School of Electrical and Electronic
Engineering (in short SEEE), one of the premier
schools for engineering education. I am glad that you
have chosen to join one of our six diploma courses Aerospace
Electronics,
Computer
Engineering,
Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Energy Systems &
Management, Engineering Systems and Engineering
with Business.
The engineering profession offers limitless career opportunities ranging from research
and development, technical and infrastructure management, inventor of products and
services, process and project management, to engineering sales and marketing. All of
SP’s engineering diploma courses are well recognised by the industry and both local
and overseas universities. You can be sure that you will receive a holistic SP education
if you put your heart and soul into your 3-year learning journey with SEEE. We are
prepared to journey with each and every one of you!
You will be taught by a team of very experienced and passionate lecturers. With stateof-the-art facilities, you will learn through a method of conceive, design and build, the
various engineering concepts related to your courses, supplemented with fun laboratory
experiments and projects. You are not left alone in this journey; besides your
classmates, you will have a personal tutor who can guide you personally in each
semester. You can always approach your personal tutor when you need a listening ear.
To reap the maximum benefits of SP’s well-rounded education, I would like to
encourage you to explore beyond the study curriculum into the various SP activities
such as sports, arts, culture, overseas learning trips, service to the communities and
enjoying leisure on the SP campus. Take time to bond with your classmates, lecturers
and friends in your co-curricular activities. Through such activities, you will develop
valuable social, interpersonal and leadership skills.
Do consider joining the EEE Club, a great place for networking with fellow EEE school
mates. You will get some good tips from your seniors on learning well in this SP
journey.
