INTRODUCTION
In the past we see than in most of the mobile robots we use
standard wheels because they are cost effective, easy to
program, easy to drive and potential for higher speed and higher
torque but they have less precision in steering. Due to this
reason mecanum wheels were designed, a wheel that can be
used to move in any direction but they have minimal torque and
our speed reduces.
OBJECTIVES
STRUCTURAL WORKING
1) Design a mobile robot to execute both linear and
rotatory movement using standard wheels
2) Use cameras to detect and avoid any obstacle that
will be put in its way and follow a dedicated path
• The mechanical mechanism of our robot will be such that every
component will be primarily attached to the main frame of the
robot.
• In our system first the vehicle is primarily stopped and wheels
are then turned in the required direction with help of the
controller and actuators.
• In this system we use belt drive pulley system which has used
to provide rotary motion to rear wheels by help of servo motors.
• In our system as mentioned above each wheel has two motors,
which are attached with one another.
APPLICATIONS
• The primary application of this sidewinder obstacle
avoiding robot is in labs and hospitals as a bacteria
disinfecting robot.
• Ultraviolet lights can be placed on the base of our
robot and can use its extra mobility and image
processing capabilities to disinfect any room on its own
so that humans can stay safe
• Places like the amazon warehouses and airport
warehouses can use the extra mobility to transfer goods
more easily and quickly.
• Moreover robotic arms and other accessories can be
used along with our robot to be used in industries to
carry out the human jobs with precision and speed.
