Job Title: Planning Materials Analyst
Band/Grade: Level 2
Reports to: Inventory Manager
Dept/Directorate: Inventory
Job Purpose
Manage inventory and ensure effectiveness of the supply chain process through closely working with
third party suppliers and other relevant departments to ensure best value, quality and safety are met
through Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Manage the process that delivers aircraft expendable inventory and consumable inventory, in line with
production requirements.
Job Dimensions/Measures
Budget: Control of adequate holding of inventory items circa £10M and control of commercial materials
budget circa £2M.
People: No
Principal Accountabilities
 Ensure requirements are met for both aircraft and non-aircraft materials and stock availability is
maintained for existing and future maintenance requirements.
 Ensure compliance against contractual agreements for third parties and compliance to financial
standing instructions and internal procedures, carried out using performance management
principles.
 Provide material analysis (to include stock analysis, performance against SLA, forecasting) for
internal and external customers in support of projects and group initiatives.
 Monitor group expenditure and compile regular reports as required.
 Take responsibility for Health & Safety of yourself and others within the working environment.
 Maintain Quality compliance including supporting any audits and their respective actions and
reporting any incidents via the appropriate company reporting system.
 Carry out any other duties within their competences as required.
 Support other departments as operationally required.
