I2C DOCUMENTATION CHECKLIST PROJECT: PROJECT No: FLOOR FINISHES PLAN Checklist Revision: (D) October 2012 F – FLOOR FINISHES PLAN DRAWINGS Scale – 1:200, 1:100, 1:50 or as required Show, Tag & Note the following items to complete a FLOOR FINISHES PLAN No Item F.01 Complete Title Block, Project Name & full Address & Project Number F.02 Complete, Drawing Name, Number, Scale, Drawn etc. F.03 Don’t simply note “Floor Finishes Plan” be more descriptive. Note what level, “Ground Floor, Floor Finishes Plan” or “Mall and Retail Area, Floor Finishes Plan” F.04 On Tender or Construction issue drawings DON’T use the term “Proposed” By this stage the project is no longer “Proposed” it is proceeding. F.05 North Point, Clients, Consultant names & Key Plan to scale or not with shade or hatch to indicate subject area F.06 I2C Standard Drawing Notes as required – General Notes, Floor Finishes Plan Notes F.07 Provide Schedule for hatched or shaded areas to explain different “Floor Finishes” F.08 Maximise & utilise the whole sheet. Plan drawing location & size, grids, notes & dimensions, Grids references and orientation. F.09 Provide Grid bubbles to each end of all grid lines to perimeter of drawing sheet F.10 Indicate all Floor Finishes, including floor tiles, terrazzo, concrete, floor mats, floor wastes (FW), trench grates (TG) including all level areas, steps in floor slab, ramps, falls, grades, stairs etc. F.11 Indicate Expansion joints or crack isolation membrane Diminishing strips, angles or finishing method at changes in floor finishes Perimeter mat frames, Miscellaneous Penetrations, Floor boxes in Malls for services, Protective angles or plates Panels of (TGSI) tactiles, Thresholds to external doors where appropriate. F.12 Where the size of the project and floor plan allows indicate the External Floor or Surface Finishes. If space does not permit provide a separate External Floor or Surface Finishes Drawing F.13 External Floor or Surface Finishes Drawing indicating paving, concrete, asphalt, tiles, tactiles. Locate and set-out each floor finish or tactiles. Show and note expansion joints, control joints. Try and align joints and changes in materials with other building elements for a coordinated well considered and designed layout F.14 Indicate Structural Floor Level (SFL) and Finished Floor Level (FFL) to be achieved designed for selected floor finishes and thicknesses, ramps and gradients. F.15 Indicate local falls required around Floor Wastes (FW) if area is not fully setdown and graded. F.16 Alterations or additions works, show existing buildings grey or hatched with dimension line noting extent of new and existing building. (Demolition works to be shown on Demolition Plan) F.17 Existing adjacent or adjoining floor levels to be indicate (Existing) E/SFL and E/FFL floor levels. Show and note how junction between new and old finishes is to be achieved and treated F.18 Check door swings where doors are indicated on ramps or where adjacent floor surfaces are graded or fall affecting if door can swing open fully. F.19 The following is the Pedestrian Flooring Selection Guide – Minimum Pendulum or Ramp Recommendations for Specific Locations, Table 3. Refer to AS/NZS 4586.
