Price Variation Formulae
2x500 MW NEW NEYVELI TPP (SG PKG.)
HT XLPE Power Cable
Prices shall be variable as per following PVC formulae as per IEEMA. The price variation shall be limited to 
20% of total ex-works actually supplied (cable size wise). PVC shall be limited for the metals for which rates
are published by IEEMA.

a) For multi-core cables, variation in the cost of cable due to variation in the cost
XLPE & polymer (PVC) will not be payable.
b) For single-core cables, variation in the cost of cable due to variation in the
cost of XLPE & polymer (PVC) will not be payable.
c) For single core armoured cable, the armour shall be of Non-magnetic hard drawn
aluminium single round wire conforming to H4 grade and for multi core cables, the
armour shall be galvanized single core round steel wire.
1. Quantity Variation: The variation in quantities of all sizes put together shall be limited to
(+/- )30% of the total contract value till completion of supplies for 2x500 MW NEW
NEYVELI TPP (SG PKG).
2. PVC shall be applicable for Lot-1 and subsequent lots till completion of requirement of
2x500 MW NEW NEYVELI TPP (SG PKG).
3. Base date for prices (as per IEEMA):
Initial Price:
The base date shall be Nov. 2014.
Final Price:
The first working day of month, one month prior to the date of delivery (as per
IEEMA).
Note: For LD calculation purpose, date of LR shall be considered as delivery date as
per GCC.
4. PVC shall be payable within agreed contractual delivery period. In case of delay is
attributable to vendor, for the payment purpose, the PVC shall be calculated based on
rates applicable as on the date of expiry of contractual delivery date or actual delivery
date, whichever is beneficial to BHEL.
