applications:
Our high-efficiency, energy-saving EC low-pressure axial fans make
the most of their strengths wherever the focus is on high air flow at
very low pressure, as in air-cooled heat exchangers, dry coolers,
cooling towers and condensers. Typical areas where air coolers are
used are mixed use or urban areas, for example to cool data centers
in banks. These are areas where extremely strict rules about noise
emission apply, so noise prevention plays a crucial role.
Perfect for the night shift: energy savings and noise reduction in partial-load operation
Our GreenTech EC fan’s trend-setting technology provides a crucial benefit, with stepless speed reduction lowering both noise level and power
consumption. While the fans can deliver full air performance during the day, at night they can all run at partial load due to lower demand –
while retaining their high efficiency; all fans remain in operation. The result: considerable reduction of both noise and operating costs.

Top components, perfectly matched.
The high-efficiency one-stop solution
Our new EC low-pressure axial fan uses only high-quality, perfectly matched components. Its GreenTech EC motor, control electronics and fan
housing from ebm-papst are combined with the FPX-impeller from Howden in a ready-to-use fan that sets new standards. It is highly efficient,
consuming less energy than comparable fans. It has significantly lower noise emissions. It has undergone aeroacoustic testing as a complete
unit on standardized test stands and has been completely documented by ebm-papst. That saves you a lot of adjustment effort as a single part
number covers all components that are relevant to your particular solution.

Adjusting fan speed to operating requirements has two

important benefits. First, power consumption varies with
–6
the cube of the change in speed. In numbers, that means
–9
1/2 speed = 1/8 power or 1/2 air flow = 1/8 operating
costs. This relation is shown by the blue curve.

Second, noise emission decreases at a greater rate than
–18
the decrease in speed (of air flow): 1/2 speed = -15 dB!

In a device with two fans, switching off one fan to reduce

Your contribution: Plug & Play.
Everything on board, ready for installation
Not only does combining the motor and the electronics in a single unit save space, it also simplifies installation. The perfectly adjusted system
makes additional filters and shielded cables unnecessary. And the integrated control electronics replace an external variable frequency drive.
As a result, expensive adjustments during installation and grounding and shielding measures are a thing of the past for you. Plug it in and turn
it on. That’s all.
