OILSEED RAPE VARIETIES AUTUMN 2016
New conventional variety topping the
gross output rankings for the AHDB
East and West region. The plants are of
medium height, with good lodging
resistance at flowering and remain very
stiff-stemmed at maturity. The crop is
early to flower and medium early to
mature and it has a good disease
profile with moderately good resistance
to light leaf spot and moderate
resistance to stem canker. Please see

New hybrid, variety recommended for
the AHDB East and West region, it has
a very high gross output. The plants are
of medium height with good lodging
resistance and stem stiffness at
maturity. Very early for flowering and
medium early for maturity. Fair
resistance to both light leaf spot and
stem canker. Very early flowering
coupled with hybrid vigour should
provide the best recovery from pigeon
grazing in spring.

Barbados is a new very high yielding
conventional variety for the AHDB
North region from KWS. Medium tall
plants with good lodging resistance at
flowering and stiff-stemmed at maturity.
Medium late flowering and late
maturity. Moderately good resistance to
light leaf spot and stem canker.

DK Exalte selected as a recommended
list candidate for the northern region,
but is a good candidate throughout the
UK. It is capable of very high yields
with good oil content.
It features pod shatter resistance, rapid
autumn and spring development and
early maturity, DK Exalte has a good

Incentive 45 is a new hybrid variety
from DSV UK, with an excellent gross
output 2016/17 AHDB Recommended
List for the East and West and North
Regions. It is not only a true all round
performer but its rapid early
establishment also gives it several

the first variety ever to top both East
and West and North Recommended
Lists.
