Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for an Applications Engineer I position in the Global
Operations Center (GOC) in Wheeling, WV.
Responsibilities:
The Applications Engineer I, under the direction of the Application Deployment Manager and with the
assistance of more senior engineers, is responsible for providing technical support in all aspects of
design/customization and implementation/deployment of desktop images on multiple physical and virtual
platforms and desktop and server applications. This includes providing second level support for
applications. It is essential that the candidate have the ability to work in a team environment with multiple
technical and non-technical groups.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
• One plus years’ work experience.
• Experience with Microsoft products and networking in an Active Directory environment required.
• Experience with Microsoft desktop operating systems including a working knowledge of the registry
required.
• Mac Experience a plus.
• Configuration, deployment and support experience with Microsoft Office required.
• Experience creating desktop images utilizing Microsoft or other imaging technologies a plus.
• Understanding and experience with Microsoft SQL and/or other relational databases a plus.
• SCCM and AppV experience a big plus.
• Scripting/programming experience preferred.
• Citrix and VPN experience a plus.
• Experience with legal specific applications a plus.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and significant elements of projects.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Technical certifications a plus.
