our solar system have also been
found.

• Clusters of billions of stars.
• How many are there?

• Radiate outward from the nucleus
• Sun is located in an arm called the “Orion
Arm”
• Takes 200 million years for sun to make
one rotation around the galaxy

• Speed of light is 186,000 miles per second.
• 5,878,499,810,000 miles (5.87849981 x
1012 miles)
• It takes the sunlight 9 minutes to reach
Earth.
