Sample Organisms
• Bacteria
• Cyanbacteria
Habitat
• Eubacteria exist everywhere in the world.
• Eubacteria is on you and it is also inside
you.
• Its in the air
• On the ground
• Everything you touch and come in contact
with has eubacteria on it.
Principal Characteristics & Further
Classification
• No nuclei.
• Both heterotrophs and autotrophs.
Corporal Structure
• Eubacteria is prokaryote and unicellular
• Often have a cell wall
• There is three basic shapes of the
eubacteria:
• 1. Spherical
• 2. Rod-shaped
• 3. Spiral
1. Spherical
Plural= Cocci
Singular= Coccus
2. Rod-shaped
Plural= Bacilli
Singular= Bacillus
3. Spiral
Plural= Spirilla
Singular= Spirillum
Reproduction and Life Cycle
• They reproduce asexually and sometimes
sexually through conjugation by using the
pilum
Pilum
Circulation
• Eubacteria does not have a circulatory
system.
• It is small enough to use diffusion to
survive.
Digestion
• Bacteria uses a type of endocytosis
• Its called phagocytosis
• Phagocytosis brings in the food to it self
and engulfs it.
Nervous System
• Eubacteria has no Nervous system
Respiration
• Eubacteria has no respiratory system
Interesting Facts
• There is over 5000 types of eubacteria
• Causes 61 deaths on average every year
• Leads to bloody diarrhea and kidney
failure
