MAGNETIC OR ELECTROMAGNETIC ENERGY
COVERAGE
This endorsement modifies insurance provided under the following:
PHYSICIANS AND SURGEONS EQUIPMENT COVERAGE FORM
A. The following is added
Coverage Extension:
to
Paragraph
A.5.
Artificially Generated Electric, Magnetic Or
Electromagnetic Energy
a. We will pay for loss or damage to Covered
Property caused by or resulting from electrical,
magnetic or electromagnetic energy that:
(1) Damages, disturbs, disrupts or otherwise
interferes with any:
(a) Electrical or electronic wire, device,
appliance, system or network; or
(b) Device, appliance, system or network
utilizing cellular or satellite technology;
and
(2) Is caused by or results from:
(a) An occurrence that took place within
100 feet of your "premises"; or
(b) Interruption of electrical power supply,
power surge, blackout or brownout if the
cause of such occurrence took place
within 100 feet of your "premises".
b. For the purpose of this Coverage Extension,
electrical, magnetic or electromagnetic energy
includes, but is not limited to:
(1) Electrical current, including arcing;
B. This Coverage Extension is subject to all the
provisions of the coverage form except that with
respect to this Coverage Extension:
1. The following is added to Paragraph A.2.
Property Not Covered:
c. Electronic computer or electronic data
processing equipment unless used to
govern or control medical and dental
equipment covered under this coverage
form.
2. Exclusion B.2.e. is deleted.
3. Section D. Deductible is replaced by the
following:
D. Deductible
We will not pay for loss or damage in any
occurrence until the amount of the adjusted
loss or damage before applying the
applicable Limits of Insurance exceeds the
Deductible shown in the Declarations for
this Coverage Extension. We will then pay
the amount of the adjusted loss or damage
in excess of the Deductible, subject to the
applicable Limit of Insurance.
(2) Electrical charge produced or conducted by
a magnetic or electromagnetic field;
(3) Pulse of electromagnetic energy; or
(4) Electromagnetic waves or microwaves.
