in part at the sole discretion of the Architect and on
his written authority only
2. The P.C Sums given below are exclusive of
ValueAddedTax and Tenderers should therefore allow
for the same in the Summary
General Attendance
The following are covered under General
attendances :
a) use, for the purpose of the Sub-contract works of
any scaffolding belonging to or provided by the
Contractor whilst it remains so erected upon the site,
provided that no warranty or other liability on the
part of the Contractor or of his other Sub-con shall be
created or implied in regard to the fitness, condition
or suitability of the said scaffolding
b) Provision of water, lighting, watching and
attendance for the purpose of the Sub-contract
works.
c ) Use of Sanitary accomodation , messrooms and
welfare facilities.
d ) Provision of space for erection of offices or stores
or space for storage of plant and materials.
e ) Clearing away rubbish produced by them.
Special Attendance
The following are covered under Special attendances
:
a) "Taking delivery" shall mean provision of unskilled
labour necessary to attend upon the sub-contractors
workmen for the purpose of unloading plant and
materials when received upon the site and placing in
position within the Sub-contract's storage space or
store.
b) "Hoisting" shall mean provision of unskilled labour
necessary and use of any Contractors standing plant
for the purpose os assisting the Sub-contractors
workmen ion hoisting the sub-contractors plant and
materials to the various levels but not placing in its
final position.
c) "Providing Power" shall mean the provision power
during the course of the works and during the perion
of maintenance.
