Embryology Technician at the ICB CRI, Mount Horeb, Wisconsin
The International Center for Biotechnology of CRI is looking for an experienced embryology
technician to join his team of specialist at our facility of Mount Horeb Wisconsin.
Position Description
CRI, the world's leading company in animal reproduction and genomic, is seeking a highly motivated
laboratory technician who will participate and support the development of our embryology
activities. Areas of interests include but are not limited to cell culture, stem cells, IVF, embryo
culture, molecular biology, cloning, gene editing, transgenesis, animal model development and
validation, and other related artificial reproduction technologies in farm animals. The successful
candidate will join a team of collaborative scientists, at the CRI International Center for
Biotechnology located at Mount Horeb, Wisconsin.
Qualifications
The applicant must have a BS or MS degree in biologic science with a minimum of three years’
experience in Embryology or related field with strong background and practical expertise in
micromanipulation, IVF, cell or embryo culture.
The applicant should be self-motivated and be able to work in a team environment. He/she must
possess strong communication skills, people skills and organizational skills. Applicants should have a
clear willingness to grow both personally and professionally and be challenged.
Major areas of accountability
General Duties include but are not limited to the following:
*
Routine embryology procedures including vitrification.
*
Micromanipulation for nuclear cloning, ICSI, assisted hatching, blastomer or trophectoderm
biopsy.
*
Perform semen processing and testing.
*
Perform all QA/QC procedures.
*
Perform equipment maintenance and calibration procedures as required.
*
Document services by charting in records.
*
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and
regulations.
*
Operate specialty equipment per manufacturer's recommendations and/or policy and
procedure.
*
Clean/maintain instruments per protocol and according to IETS guidelines.
