Membership Guidelines for Wandering Eye Gallery How Do I Become A Member Artist? Read this page and see if our collective seems like a good fit for you, fill out a brief application and provide/send us three sample images of your artwork. A current artist member will contact you with more detailed information about being a member and let you know if you will be invited to the gallery for an interview and review of your work. There are currently Three (3) levels of membership 1. Hanging Member 2. General Member (Associate) 3. Volunteer (Docent) A Hanging Member- is a gallery artist that exhibits in a designated 5 x 8” space in our main gallery in Centro Ybor and meets defined time & financial requirements. A General Member- is an artist/art friend that does not exhibit in the main gallery but still functions as a member by meeting defined time & financial requirement. A Volunteer Member/Docent- is an artist/art friend that assists with manning the gallery. Volunteers work with member artists. 1 WEG Hanging Member Artist What are the Time Requirements of a Hanging Member Artist? Any month a member artist signs up to show carries with it the following time commitments: Attend our Artist Launch/Opening Reception on the 2nd Saturday of the month Pay $30 per month membership fee Attend the General Artist Meeting which is 4th Saturday of Month at 11 am Hang their own artwork the Wednesday evening before the Artist Launch/Opening Reception Attend a Potluck Planning Meeting the Tuesday evening before the hang Take down their art the first Sunday of the month when the show ends Work (three) 5 hour gallery shifts (min. 15 hrs) during the month. Working artists receive 10% commission on any art sold during shift. *Commission will be split between scheduled working artists.
