PhD studentship in Earth Sciences
School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences
We are delighted to offer 2 PhD studentships in Earth Sciences to suitably qualified candidates for
the academic year commencing 1st October 2013.
Applicants must have at least a 2:1 degree in Earth Sciences (or a related subject) or equivalent
qualification.
Each studentship is supported for 3 years and includes full Home/EU tuition fees plus a stipend of
£13,726 per annum. The studentship will only fully fund those applicants who are eligible for
Home/EU fees with relevant qualifications. Applicants normally required to cover overseas fees will
have to show evidence in their application that they can cover the difference between the Home/EU
and the overseas tuition fee rates (approximately £9,790 per annum).
