What lead to Industrialization
• New technologies
– Surplus of food less people needed for farming
– People moved to the city for work
– These people found low paying jobs in factories

How cities changed
• The closer to the center of the city, the more
the economic value of property increased.
There were more pedestrian traffic.
• Neighborhoods developed based on economic
class.
• Spatial separation of labor.

How People lived
