Research Scientist – Product Development
Leatherhead Food Research is an independent, internationally recognised and trusted

We are currently looking to recruit a Research Scientist to join our Food InnovationProduct Development Department. This role will involve working on a variety of product
development and other technical projects. This will include bench-scale product
development and pilot plant trials under the supervision of senior members. The post
holder will also manage small projects under the direction of the team leader, and be
responsible for the maintenance of the equipment and laboratory areas.
The ideal candidate will be qualified to degree level in Food Science or related science,
and ideally have at least 1 year experience of product development experience in the
food industry. Key knowledge will be the understanding of ingredients and food
processes to make typical food products, and also the ability to operate food processing
equipment. You will have excellent team working and prioritisation skills, and strong
written and verbal communication skills.
