SUMMARY:
The Research Associate will focus on providing value-added research in support of an
experienced Senior Analyst. The candidate will be part of a team that conducts extensive
industry field checks and company analysis. Responsibilities include financial modeling, writing
industry & company reports, talking with industry contacts/company management, and
communicating investment ideas to institutional clients, salespeople and traders.
QUALIFICATIONS:








Two years of relevant work experience either buy or sell side and/or prior financial
services experience a plus.
Direct experience with financial modeling and valuation. Strong analytical, forecasting
and financial modeling skills will be necessary.
Has a strong grasp of valuation concepts and the ability to create/use DCF, residual
income valuation models
Well versed communications skills—written and oral. Ability to draft in-depth research
reports as well as shorter maintenance notes.
Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, FactSet
Must have intellectual curiosity and a passion for equity research
MBA, CPA and/or CFA certifications are a plus. Strong understanding of accounting
concepts required.
Series 7, 63, 86, and 87 licenses strongly preferred
