Muscles are a special type of tissue in the
human body that have the ability to move
all the different bones, but muscles can
only pull.
Another thing that makes muscles move are
joints.
Without joints, movement in our body would
be impossible.
The muscular system’s main function is
movement in body parts, circulation,
posture and help in digestion.
If our muscular system didn’t do it’s job, our
lungs wouldn’t work (because the lungs
are controlled by the diaphragm which is
a type of muscle), movement in our body
would be impossible and we wouldn’t be
able to digest the food we eat (because
some parts of the digestive system need
muscles to work like the oesophagus).
To keep our muscular system functioning
properly, we need to exercise and eat
healthy foods with nutrients (and NO
additives) to keep our muscles growing
properly and at the right pace.
Healthy food (with lots of nutrients) help our
muscular system by giving our muscles
the energy to grow bigger and bigger as
you grow.
Digestive System:
The muscular system helps the digestive
system by controlling the oesophagus,
small intestine, large intestine, rectum and
the anus.
Respiratory System:
The muscular system helps the respiratory
system by controlling the diaphragm to
make space for the air that gets directed
into our lungs.
Skeletal System:
The muscular system helps the
skeletal system by protecting and
moving the bones in our body so we
can have movement.
Circulatory System:
The muscular system helps the
circulatory system by letting blood
rush through the blood vessels.

We have gotten lots of the information
from these links to put in our
presentation for the muscular
system!
We hope you all liked our presentation
because we worked REALLY hard on our
presentation including the information in
our work!
