Meet the Interns
Evan Kenyon is interning with PWRDF from late April to early July and for two weeks during August.
During this time he will be assisting the organization in its governance policy review and in organizing its
bi-annual national youth project. Born in Toronto, but raised in London, Ontario, Evan graduated from
Western University with an Honours Bachelors Degree in Political Science. Last September, he began his
first year of legal studies at Osgoode Hall Law School and looks forward to beginning his second year of
courses this fall. This summer he wishes to use the analytical and problem-solving skills he has
developed through his studies to further PWRDF’s mission of community capacity building and
development. He wishes to thank the Ian Scott Public Interest Internship Program through Osgoode
Hall for its generous support and the PWRDF staff for their kindness and tireless dedication to social
justice.
Maureen Ononiwu
Maureen is currently completing her Master of Theological Studies in Development at Wycliffe College,
as part of the Toronto School of Theology and the University of Toronto. Maureen came to Canada from
Nigeria as a teenager to pursue her undergraduate degree in Communications and Professional Writing
at York University.
After working as a writer and journalist upon graduation, Maureen realized she wanted to use her
talents to glorify God as an advocate of social justice. She joined Wycliffe as a graduate student to gain
more knowledge and insights that would equip her to serve God’s people both nationally and
internationally. Maureen looks forward to delving more deeply into people-centred development
initiatives as she works with and learns from the dedicated staff of PWRDF this summer.
