1. He is going to work through a traceable
lineage.
2. Working through the frailty of one
family, one people demonstrates the
power of God to accomplish His plan.

people from which we can learn.
4. To create a “community” of faith for
the purpose of cultivating future
believers.

- There is a new dimension that is
reached and we see it in the
language (Genesis 28:13)
- It is the kind of faith they are called to
have

These all died in faith, not having received
the promises, but having seen them afar off
were assured of them, embraced them and
confessed that they were strangers and
pilgrims on the earth. For those who say
such things declare plainly that they seek a
homeland.

And truly if they had called to mind that
country from which they had come out,
they would have had opportunity to
return. But now they desire a better, that
is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is
not ashamed to be called their God, for He
has prepared a city for them.

Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor

you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and
heirs according to the promise.

By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to
go out to the place which he would receive as an
