EXECUTIVE UPDATE
2016: A YEAR OF COLLABORATION
Major development projects and increased occupancy in
our urban cores; significant growth in our business and
employment metrics; speculative industrial real estate
development; unprecedented regional collaboration.
These are some of the themes experienced across the
Michiana region in 2015. It has been inspiring to see
private enterprise, philanthropic organizations,
academia and government collaborating to make this area
a regional powerhouse for talent attraction, job creation
and overall economic development.
2016 will be a year of continued collaboration and growth. Implementation of the
South Bend-Elkhart Region's Regional Cities Plan will be a major opportunity for our
area to build on the current momentum and create a vibrant community that is a true
asset and source of pride to all of our residents and businesses.
Thanks for being a part of what makes the Michiana region a great place.
Sincerely,
Regina Emberton
President & CEO
Michiana Partnership
