Israel Discount Bank of New York Announces
Investment Grade Rating By Kroll Bond Rating Agency
New York, NY, September 21, 2015 -- Israel Discount Bank of New York (IDB Bank®) announced today
that it and its holding company, Discount Bancorp Inc. has been assigned investment grade ratings by
Kroll Bond Rating Agency ("KBRA").
KBRA assigned IDB Bank a deposit rating of A-, senior unsecured debt rating of A-, subordinated debt
rating of BBB+, and a short term deposit/debt rating of K2.
Ehud Arnon, President and Chief Executive Officer of IDB Bank commented, "We are pleased to be
assigned a high investment grade rating by KBRA. This will allow us additional flexibility in our
endeavors and open up additional opportunities for us. This rating is a testament to the quality of the
bank we are and to our financial strength. We believe these independent, third-party ratings will provide
our customers with continued confidence in our organization."
KBRA, which is registered with the SEC as a Nationally Recognized Statistical Rating Organization, noted
the ratings were supported by the Bank's "conservative management, strong asset quality metrics, and
healthy liquidity and capital position. Also noted in the report is “The Bank maintains an ample level of
liquid assets combined with a growing customer deposit base, particularly domestic deposits. The loans
to deposits ratio compares well to the average of rated peers.”
