Review of the Year
President John presented an excellent power point reviewing many of Iowa County Human
Society’s successes. Some of them listed are: an increase in dogs adopted, an increase of cats
adopted, more schools participating in ICHS activities, huge volunteer hours delivered, increase
in donations and a stable and excellent staff. Goals going forward are: a new roof, new flooring,
and consistent municipal contracts, expanding the behavior modification program, further
enhancing outreach and increasing fundraising. Lisa Cvengros is leaving the board after three
years of working as the ICHS Treasurer. John developed a dependent variable chart
demonstrating Lisa’s past and present demand on her body’s physical, mental and emotional
energy as she transitions Treasurers duties to another individual. John then showed a chart
chronicling a contrasting a reverse trajectory of physical, mental and emotional energy as Lisa
transitions out of ICHS.
Approval of Previous annual Meeting Minutes
The minutes from the Annual meeting of March 14th 2016 were presented. No questions or
concerns were brought up. Lisa motioned that the minutes be approved, Dianne seconded them
and all voted to approve the minutes.
Managers’ Reports:
Kennel Manager Bonnie Zimmerman: In addition to a written report, Bonnie reviewed that
last year saw many more euthanasia’s than in previous years. This past year saw three situations
of animal hoards were animals had never received preventive health care.
Office Manager Binga Manwiller: In addition to a written report President John reviewed
the high lights of the Volunteer program. Last year 122 volunteers were trained and 88 are
actively volunteering. Cats continue to be cuddled and socialized while the dogs are walked and
socialized.
Outreach Manager/Fundraising/Humane Officer Jen Siegel: The biggest fund raiser
last year was a once only Green Bay Packer fund raiser. Around 32 thousand dollars was raised.
Jen has found that Facebook is the most widespread method to keep in touch with the public.
Our Facebook page has 6000 followers. This past year found Jen spending a lot of time as the
Humane Officer.
Committee Reports:
Buildings and Grounds- Lisa Cvengros reports that much work has been accomplished this
past year with most of it completed and paid by volunteers. Walls have been painted, flooring
replaced and electrical work updated.

were replaced with skill strength’s and performance goals.
Animal Welfare and Enrichment- Terri Davis reports that vertical space was added to the
cat living room accessing more space for the cats. Cages for wild cats have been completed.
The training room is marvelous. The MOD Squad is again up and running. The MOD Squad is
a behavioral modification program developed to assist the animals in becoming adoptable.
