Anyone who is interested in volunteering as coach, chaperoning a field trip, or might be interacting with students without a staff member present, is required to successfully complete a criminal background check, per district policy. Your background check remains active as long as there is not a gap of a year in volunteering. The district requests volunteers to pay the cost ($10.25) for the background check. The fee can be covered by the school district if the fee is a financial burden. South Washington County Schools uses the services of Trusted Employees to conduct the criminal background check.
