Trousdale County Schools Weekly Lesson Plan
Teacher:
Mrs. Griggs
Pacing Guide Week #: 16
Dates: 12-2-13 to 12-6-13
Subject:
Geometry
Common Core Standard(s) to be taught: (Write the entire standard)
 G.SRT.5 Use congruence and similarity criteria for triangles to solve problems and to prove relationships in geometric figures
 G.SRT.6 Understand that by similarity, side ratios in right triangles are properties of the angles in the triangle, leading to
definitions of trigonometric ratios for acute angles.
 G.SRT.7 . Explain and use the relationship between the sine and cosine of complementary angles
 G.SRT.8 Use trigonometric ratios and the Pythagorean Theorem to solve right triangles in applied problems. ★
SPI(s) to be taught: (Write the entire SPI)


SPI 3108.4.12Solve problems involving congruence, similarity, proportional reasoning and/or scale
factor of two similar figures or solids.
SPI 3108.4.15 Determine and use the appropriate trigonometric ratio for a right triangle to solve a
contextual problem.
Daily practice activity for citing text based evidence in conversation and/or writing:

I Can Statements :
Student Agenda:
 Use special properties of triangles
 Posted daily but NOT included in Lesson Plan
Assessment Strategies (for Stage 1 teachers ONLY): Assessment used to determine mastery daily: If a quiz or test is given,
include in the Teacher’s Lesson Plan Notebook.
