Project Title:- PROBLEM OCCURS DURING INSTALLATION OF ROAD SIDE DRAINAGE AND
ITS REMEDIAL MEASURES
Abstract:Drainage is necessary to determine the
efficiency of pavement to withdraw the effect
of traffic and environment. In drainage
installation the problem Like erosion of soil,
water logging is occur. Due to improper drainage
the material of pavement like asphalt, mortar etc.
may get spoiled. Due to poor drainage, cracks
and holes might occur on the pavement. In
Drainage installation, problem in excavation and
the space requirement may be inadequate. This
report suggests the solution of problem which
occurs in installation of drainage work

Weep hole is provided with
150 mm diameter.
These Weep holes use to reduce pore water pressure.

In the drainage culvert is provided at regular interval,
so the slope of drainage should be continuous. In this
case the depth of drainage should be increased. Due
to that maintenance cost is increased.

The rising of water table can be lowered by digging
well surrounding to drainage section.

Approx. Project Cost:-Rs. 3000/-
Cement bag required is also 8to 10 bags. So, cost of
construction is also less.

In order to reduce cracking due to heavy vehicle
kerbs should be provided, Due to that vehicles will

Road drainage pipe is connected with house drainage,
So that the overflowing water will go to manhole.
