(2) Visit to- Animal House in DIPSAR (3) Demo - Zeta Potential Analyzer(Dispersion Tech-Version5.10) Is the powerful tool in understanding the stability of a particular suspension .It is used for the Measurement of Molecular size, Particle size, Molecular weight, Zeta potential, Protein mobility, Microrheology. The Particle size range from 0.3nm to 10µm. (4) Demo –Homogenizer (GEA Niro Soavi Technical Datasheet Laboratory Homogenizer) This equipment used for the homogenization of various types of material, such as tissue, plant food, soil, and many others. Fourth day (1) Lecture by-Dr.Vijay Bhalla (Director-Lloyd School of Pharmacy,Treasurer-IPGA) Topic- Microbial Resistance to Antibiotics, Role of Community Pharmacists Give the tip to avoid the resistance to antibiotics .Avoid misuse of antibiotic, Avoid self prescription, Do not use antibiotics in viral or other infections ,Take antibiotics in doctors supervision ,Complete the course of antibiotics even if you feel better, Do not miss any dose, Do not save any drug for your next time treatment, Do not demand antibiotics from medical stores directly, Do not take antibiotics which are prescribed for your relatives (2) Lecture by-Dr. Sayeed Ahmad (Associate Professor; Bioactive Natural Product Laboratory Department of Pharmacognosy & Phytochemistry ,Jamia Hamdard ,New Delhi ) Topic- HPTLC- Planar Chromatography in Drug discovery (3) Demo-HPLC (4) Demo –CHNSO Analyzer. Fifth day (1) Lecture by-Dr. Deepti Jain (Associate Professor, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, RGPV Bhopal ) Topic-FTNIR: A Versatile Tool for Pharmaceutical Analysis. A New spectroscopy technique for determination of impurities, it can apply directly to incoming raw material at loaded dock. Can be use to determine the moisture content, content uniformity, tablet API etc. (2) Lecture by-Dr.S.K.Jain (Professor and Director ,Sagar Institute of Research & Technology – Pharmacy Bhopal) Topic-Role of Bioinformatics in Identifying New Molecule Targets for Drug Discovery. Bioinformatics deals with the exponential growth in biological data has led to the development of primary and secondary databases of nucleic acid sequences, protein sequences and structures. Some of the databases include GenBank, SWISS-PROT, PDB, PIR, SCOP, CATH, etc. These databases are available as public domain information and hosted on various Internet servers across the world. Basic research and modeling is done using these databases with the help sequence analysis tools like BLAST, FASTA, CLUSTALW, etc., and the modelled structures are visualized using visualization tools such as WebLab, MOLMOL, Rasmol, etc. (3) Lecture by-Dr. Amit Bhargava (Oncologist-Batra Hospital and Medical Research Centre New Delhi ) Topic- Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation. Provided the information for Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. (HSCT) is the transplantation of multipotent hematopoietic stem cells, usually derived from bone marrow, peripheral blood, or umbilical cord blood. It may be autologous (the patient's own stem cells are used) orallogeneic (the stem cells come from a donor). It is a medical procedure in the field of hematology, most often performed for patients with certain cancers of the blood or bone marrow, such as multiple myeloma or leukemia.
