Maths:
We will be continuing to apply the formal
written methods to problems with increasing
difficulty and when applying the correct order
of operations. We will be learning to round
three digit numbers and will be increasing our
understanding of the properties of different
shapes and different angles.
Please remember to practise your times
tables and the corresponding division facts at
home as this will support our work in class.
There will be regular opportunities to be
tested on these in school.
Literacy:
This term in literacy we will be building on the
work completed during our Shakespeare week
to develop a deeper understanding of
Shakespeare’s plays, the language used and the
style of writing. We will then apply this when
creating an alternative scene for Romeo and
Juliet. This will involve applying all the skills
developed in term one of how to be a ‘good
writer’.
