Research purposes:
 Purpose:
Assess realities of agricultural development of Dien Bien province based on the criteria
of sustainable agriculture development, from that some measures are proposed in order to
develop agriculture towards sustainable development in Dien Bien province to 2020.
 The aims of the study:
- Systemize the theoretical basis for the sustainable agriculture development.
- Study lessons about the sustainable agriculture development.in some places such as:
Thai Binh, Bac Giang, Phu Tho.
- Analyze, assess the realities of agricultural development in Bien Bien Province from
2003 to 2013.
- Propose some measures to develop agriculture towards sustainable orientation to 2020.
New contributions:
Assessed the realities of agricultural development towardssustainable orientation in Dien
Bien province, assessed the achievements as well as limitations and point out causes of the
limitations in developing agriculture towards sustainable development orientation of the
Province.
Proposed measures so as to develop agriculture towards sustainable orientation in Dien
Bien in the coming years.
