Accumulated knowledge and skills www.aks-international.com AKS How to carry out the AKS process step by step Instruction manual -2- THE AIM WITH THE AKS PROCESS The AKS process is a process which should be carried out by the top management and decision makers in an organisation or an enterprise. The aim with this process is to start an on-going procedure in order to increase awareness of non-formal and informal learning and its mutual benefits to the enterprise and individual employee. The enterprise will become more competitive by better knowing the resources in its workforce (which will also show how adaptable the enterprise is); the enterprise will be able to evaluate foreign workers more accurately and swiftly; the individual will be valued for their accumulated knowledge and skills. Through this process the employee will be able to record their own three part CV. The employee will become more aware of his competence. YOUR MOST IMPORTANT TOOL IN THIS PROCESS In order to help you in the introduction of the AKS process in your enterprise the AKS project group has worked out the following tools. This will be your most important tools in addition to your own oral presentation: HANDBOOK COMPANY This leaflet contains a description of a method and work tasks in order to help the enterprise carry out the complete process. HANDBOOK EMPLOYEE This leaflet contains a description in how the process will affect the employee and the work tasks to be carried out by them. MAPPING TOOLS The mapping tools consist of three main parts. The fist part is a Web-tool, which contains an administration part that will structure the mapping process including: recording the professional competence among the employees; defining the company needs; visualising a potential gap in a gap analysis and visualising an activity program for the entire company. The second part is an ability to take action questionnaire, which together with a development dialogue, can be used to record the soft skills part in the enterprise. The third part is a three-part CV to record the complete accumulated knowledge and skills among the employees. CD DEMO VERSION OF POWERPOINT PRESENTATION AND THE WEB - TOOL The demo version contains PowerPoint presentations of the AKS method, ability to take actions questionnaire and the three part CV. The demo version gives also a real introduction in use of the complete web tool.
