o What are each part in control of in the body
o Be able to identify them
 Review the passage of a nerve impulse along the axon (depolarization); know
the steps.
 What are the 2 divisions of the N.S.
 Name the parts that make up each division.
 Be able to identify and label the parts of a neuron
 What is a reflex action and how is its path different to a normal reaction
pathway.

system?
 What gases are exchanged in the lungs?
 Where does this exchange take place in the lungs, explain.
Circulatory System:
 Name
o A) the 3 types of blood vessels

 Know the pathway of blood through the heart, lungs and body.
Immune System and Disease:
 What are the 2 types of defenses that make up our immune system?
 Give examples of each type of response?
 What are antibodies?
 When are the produced and how do they protect us from pathogens?
 Name some pathogenic organisms/particles and give an example?
 Compare bacteria and viruses.
 What is a vaccine and how do they work with our immune system?
 Why is it so difficult for individuals with HIV/AIDS to fight off minor
infections?
 What types of immunity are there?
 Give an example of how individuals can acquire each type.
