This notice is sent as a benefit of your Sage Business Care plan and provides

Announcement
As of July 1, 2017 Sage will no longer provide additional updates to Sage 100
Contractor 2014 (v19.8), including payroll tax releases.
Note: Version 20 will be the only version of Sage 100 Contractor for which we will
provide payroll tax tables for year-end 2017. You must be using version 20 to install
and use the 2017 year-end tax update.
Do not wait to upgrade! Because version 20 is a major softare upgrade that involves
migrating your data to a new platform, you should plan your upgrade now, well before
the busy tax season.
What you’re missing if you’re not using version 20!
Sage 100 Contractor 2016 (SQL) v.20 is built on a Microsoft© SQL Server database,
an up-to-date platform that offers improved security and a sound basis for future
development. While this release represents a huge shift in technology for Sage 100
Contractor, we have done our utmost to minimize the learning curve for you.
You will recognize Sage 100 Contractor menus and windows with the same look and
feel as in earlier versions with enhanced features, including these changes that help
you find the business data you need quickly and easily:

Versatile lookup windows where you can display, hide, and reorder columns;
view the names of vendors, accounts, and more, along with record numbers

when searching; and find records more quickly, with results that are now
filtered as you type.
The ability to view change history for records. Many data entry windows include
a View menu, with options that enable company administrators to view the
history of changes to a selected record.
Microsoft SQL Server comes with many powerful features, but you don't have to be an
expert to take advantage of them! We have built a new Database Administration tool to
help you perform all database administration tasks, including setting up and updating
companies, refining advanced settings, and selecting options for automatic nightly
backups, history retention, and database maintenance.
Besides handling all the database tasks that you are most likely to perform, Database
Administration was designed to optimize your data for Sage 100 Contractor and
provides functions that are not included in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
Additional features designed to ease your transition to this version include:
