Raymond Makewell Raymond Makewell is a writer specialising in Economics, and especially looking at the relationship between human society and the land. Before this he had an international career primarily in banking, and completed an Economics degree in 2010. Raymond has studied and taught Economics within the School of Economic Science (London) and its Australian associates for almost forty years. The courses he taught aim to show the effect of bringing an ethical dimension to understanding the natural laws of economics. Raymond has also been a regular participant in the work of the Globalisation for the Common Good Initiative. He has had two books published to date; ‘Economic Wisdom’ which looks at economic thought in ancient literature, much of which has an ecological thread; and, ‘The Science of Economics’ which is a modern interpretation of the extensive Economic courses developed by the founder of the School of Economic Science. His current project is to write a new Economic History of the English speaking world, which acknowledges the impact of the changing relationship between the people and the land.
