Series X1 blends classic luminaire design, flexible
mounting features, and Finelite’s dedication to
deliver a decidedly uncommon luminaire. The
curved, rectilinear, and ellipsoidal forms are
extruded out of aluminum and represent timeless
aesthetic choices suitable for many applications
from the education to office environment.
2
Series X1 is available with three
unique shielding options, including
white cross blade, perforated shield,
and a semi-specular parabolic louver.
All shielding options are installed from
below the luminaire and are secured
in place with multiple clips for a
clean, gap-free fit.
Adjustable Mounting
Optional adjustable mounting brackets
accommodate unique site conditions
including retrofit situations where it is
necessary to mount on existing suspension
points. The mounting bracket provides 44”
of mounting flexibility for every 4'.
Surface Mount
Series X1 can be mounted directly to the
ceiling. The optional adjustable mounting
bracket is used to allow simple On-Grid™
or Off-Grid connection to the ceiling.
Ballasts and lamps are easily accessible
from below.

Solutions for Audio Visual
Presentations
Controlled Center Optics (CCO)
Highly reflective Controlled Center Optics improves the
flexibility by delivering two distinct lighting modes, making
it ideal for use in schools or conference rooms where
audiovisual presentations are made.
ICLS Compatible
Series X1 can be used as a part of the
Integrated Classroom Lighting System
(ICLS) to improve the teaching environment,
increase teacher satisfaction and reduce
energy consumption.

Unique Component Design
6
Component design is important to maximizing
the structural integrity of extruded aluminum
luminaires. Series X1 incorporates several
design features that enhance the installed

beauty of the luminaire and eliminate bracket
movement, which results in a safer environment.
3. Tooling folds aluminum over the bracket
after insertion, trapping the bracket in
the channel.
4. The box frame design adds structural
rigidity, resulting in long, straight runs.

5. Multiple contact points keep the bracket
in perfect relation to the extrusion for
better fixture joints.
6. The top and bottom of the bracket slide
into the extrusion preventing the body
from rotating off axis.
Endcap Choices
The standard endcap for Series X1 is a flat
endcap, which is designed to eliminate light
leaks for a nice, clean appearance. Series X1-E
is also available with a die-cast aluminum endcap
that compliments the curves of the luminaire.

Dimensions and Lamping
Enhanced
Serviceability
Series X1 baffles are continuous and
run the length of the luminaire. Lamps
and ballasts are easily serviced from
below the fixture, making Series X1
ideal for close-to-ceiling and surface
mount situations.
Lengths
Modular section lengths offer standard 4', 8' and 12'
support spacing that aligns with grid ceiling systems.
Die-Formed Aligner Sleeve
Factory installed die-formed aligner sleeves
ensure fixture runs are easily joined
together, resulting in long, straight rows.
