Registration:
By applying to participate in an ORFA season, league or event, I, the applicant, agree to comply with all the policies of the club and to
accept all of the club’s terms and conditions.

Important Policies:
 Registration Fees and Outstanding Accounts



All registrations require a $150 non-refundable administration fee at the time of registration.
This includes players applying for financial aid through Jump Start and/or Kidsport.
All fees must be paid in full by April 1st or proof of application to either Jump Start or Kidsport.
Any outstanding fees from previous seasons will be rolled over and must be paid for before registering for the
current season.

 Refunds
•
The initial $150.00 of the registration fee is a non-refundable administration fee for all registrants who for any
reason withdraw prior to April 1st. The $20 Insurance fee included in registration is non-refundable.

Refunds, less any incurred costs, will be given to any player who has to quit due to medical reasons, and who
provides and doctors note explaining said reason, prior to the start of league play or first game played.
•
Any player who quits or leaves their team FOR ANY REASON after April 1st will not be entitled to a refund.
•
No refunds shall be issued under any circumstances until a person’s full payment has cleared the bank.
•
No refunds shall be issued until the Registrar confirms that all club equipment/property has been duly returned.
•
All refund requests must be reviewed and approved by the Executive of the club.
•
NSF cheques are subject to a $45 NSF charge.

 Playing time and fees



All fees charged by ORFA are required to operate the program and are in no way related to a players
playing time.
Registrants are not entitled to a refund based on playing time consideration.
Playing time can be reduced if fees are not in good standing.

4. Equipment Deposit and Return
 A post-dated cheque of $300.00 dated August 1st is required before equipment can be issued.
 All ORFA property must be returned in mid-August.
 The equipment deposit cheque will be deposited if equipment has not been returned by the specified date.

Our Mission
To create an environment that maximizer player development by delivering the most complete and competitive youth
football experience in the Dufferin area. With our comprehensive program, we strive to teach our players discipline,
teamwork, sportsmanship, commitment and responsibility that serve as a foundation for strong character and success on
and off the field.
Code of Conduct
The standards of behaviour outlined below shall apply to all ORFA players, parents, spectators and volunteers:




During practice and games;
While travelling to and from practices and games;
Off-site while wearing or carrying any ORFA gear or clothing (thereby representing our football club);
On social media

Standards of Behavior
Players, parents, coaches, volunteers and spectators must understand that our personal conduct reflects upon our
teammates, opponents, coaches and supporters so each are expected to:









Demonstrate honesty and integrity and positively represent your or your son’s team and the ORFA organization
at all times in person or on social media.
Promote a positive team climate and treat other players, parents, coaches, officials and spectators with respect
regardless of race, creed, colour, sex or ability.
Maintain self-control and accept responsibility for your actions, your assignments and the outcome of your efforts.
No excuses!
Not engage in unsportsmanlike conduct with any official, coach, parent or player such as booing taunting and
refusing to shake hands or using profane language or gestures. If there is a personal issue, speak to the
appropriate volunteer (coach, president), AWAY from the field and arrange a date/time to discuss the matter at
hand.
Respect yourself, your team, the ORFA organization, game officials, opponents and property.
Take loss or defeat without complaint and a victory without gloating.
No volunteer many solicit players for personal or professional gain.
Volunteers, players, parents may not put their hands on others in anger
Anger i.e. – yelling may not be shown in excess to players, or volunteers

Commitment

Players are expected to pay their fees in full. In instances where the player requires aid, it is their responsibility
to ensure all forms are filled out and sent in. All equipment deposit cheques must be given prior to equipment
being released.
 Players and coaches will make every possible attempt to be punctual and at every practice, bus departure time
and game. If this is not possible, it is the players/coach’s responsivity to communicate this with other team
officials.
Should you fail to advise by the above mentioned rules and guidelines, you will be subject to disciplinary action
determined by the ORFA Executive. This may include, but is not limited to, the following:
 Verbal and/or written warning
 Suspension from play for a period of time within a game.
 Suspension for a limited period of games.
Expulsion- wither or removal for the season or permanent removal from the ORFA organization. Both without fee or
