Press Release AUTOSAR R3.0 — Based on Proven RTA Products ETAS has been offering real-time operating systems for automotive ECUs for many years. More than 350 million of these systems are currently in use worldwide. This considerable experience in automotive embedded OS development was an essential ingredient in the development of the new AUTOSAR R3.0-compliant OS and RTE products, RTA-OS3.0 and RTA-RTE3.0. AUTOSAR Basic Software – RTA-OS3.0 and RTA-RTE3.0 Building on the successful concepts of RTA-OSEK, the AUTOSAR R3.0-compliant RTA-OS3.0 tool suite contains a PC-based graphical configuration tool, which adapts the operating system quickly and flexibly to a large number of target systems. As it generates AUTOSAR runtime environments for production ECUs, RTA-RTE3.0 optimizes the allocation of both memory and computing time for the resulting code in accordance with user specifications. Together, RTA-OS and RTA-RTE provide closely matched functionalities that enable users to easily generate the two key software components of the AUTOSAR ECU architecture.
