* When you see items that are in Standard Form – Rather than converting to Standard From, just plug the x and y-values in to determine the equation.
Ex. (3, 5)
(7, 9)
2x + 3y = 21
When you plug in 3 for x and 5 for y, you get 21 to happen – which means this point is on the graph of the equation 2x + 3y = 21
When you plug in 7 for x and 9 for y, you get 21 to happen – which means this point is not on the graph of 2x + 3y = 21
Both points would have to work in the equation.
