Job purpose
 To deliver football programs on behalf of City Football Group in Chinese schools.

Key responsibilities

To ensure all the City Football Group coaching philosophies, methodology and principles are
incorporated into the delivery of the program

To organise, structure and deliver the coaching program in a professional manner.

To collaborate and communicate with partners, sponsors and key stakeholders in a positive
manner to ensure the success of the project.

To work both individually and collectively as part of a team in ensuring the project is delivered to
the required levels and expectations.

General responsibilities

Compliance with City Football Group policies including Safeguarding, Health and Safety

Comply with Chinese laws and regulations of relevant regions as well as moral rules for teachers

Football promotion, coaches shall participate in various public activities with unified arrangement

Other relative work assigned by the schools

Scope of job

To develop young players using the City Football program in schools.

To communicate and support Teachers in the understanding and delivery of a City Football
program.

Knowledge: the level and breadth of knowledge to do the job e.g. understanding of a defined system,
method or procedure, legal or regulatory frameworks etc
Essential

To have the knowledge of coaching with specific age groups internationally

To have worked in a football environment both locally and internationally.

To have knowledge how to develop all level of players
Desirable

To understand player pathways in football development

To be able to communicate and support coaches or teachers in football development.

To have knowledge of the four corner model
Technical/work-based skills: skills specific to the job e.g. language competence, typing skills, coaching
skills etc
Essential

To be organised in planning, preparation and execution within a project

To be able to demonstrate high level of competency English language both spoken and written.

To have the ability present to players, coaches and other members involved both on and off the field
Desirable

To prepare presentations for reporting and teaching purposes

To plan and prepare sessions in different coaching environments

Understanding how to evaluate and review programs on completion
General skills and attributes: more general characteristics e.g. flexibility, communication skills, team
working etc.
Essential

Competent level of written and spoken English

The ability to connect and develop young players

To communicate in a variety of settings such as informal, formal, individual or groups
Desirable

To have experience in developing players from different cultures

To have the ability to work individually and part of a team

To challenge learning and development of players
Experience: proven record of experience in a particular field, profession or specialism. Any period of work
required must be appropriate and not excessive.
Essential

To have proven experience working with young players Internationally

To have experience working with players from varying backgrounds and cultures

To have experience working with teachers or coaches in football development.
Desirable

To have experience in developing Chinese players

To adapt in different coaching environments when delivering

To work without translators in delivery of sessions in China
Qualifications: the level of educational, professional and/or occupational training required
Essential

FA Level 2 coaching licence or above

Emergency Aid Certificate, Valid DBS certificate, Valid Safeguarding Certificate

FA Coaching License member or equivalent
Desirable

Achieved Level 3 Coaching License (UEFA B)

Achieved Youth Award or Modules 1 – 3 or working towards

Certificate of Higher Education
