Leadership is the ability to influence
others to accomplish a mission (or task) in
the manner desired by providing purpose,
direction, and motivation.
What is purpose?
Purpose gives people a reason to do things.
What is direction?
When providing direction, you
communicate the way you want the
mission accomplished.
What is motivation?
Motivation gives subordinates the
will to do everything they can to
accomplish a mission. It results in
their acting on their own initiative
when they see something needs to be
done.
Subordinate
An assistant subject to the
authority or control of another
Leader
A person who rules, guides, or inspires
others.
