Detection of NADPH-diaphorase and Nitric Oxide synthase (NOS) in rat retinas by using histochemical reactions, in light and dark adaptation. 2003 Synapltic modulation of nitric oxide system in rat retina. By Zemel E, PhD & Perlman I, PhD). This research was awarded and commended for Excellence by the Academic Committee of The Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine, Haifa, 1999. A lecture, given at The Israel Society for Vision & Eye Research (ISVER 2002), was honored for The Best Lecture given by a Young Researcher at that conference. 2005-2007 A clinical prospective double blind placebo controlled study, that was conducted together with Microbiology laboratory, between the years 20052007 on elective patients that are due to have an intraocular elective surgery in the ophthalmology department, The Emek Medical Center. We looked at cultures taken from the conjunctival sac post preventive topical treatments installed. 5.
