SAMPLE ITINERARY SEATTLE PERFORMANCE TOUR (itinerary subject to change) DAY ONE: SEATTLE ARRIVAL (D) – Performance #1 Afternoon Arrive into Seattle! Collect your luggage, meet your Tour Manager and load the coach. Blink and it’s changed: Seattle can be that ephemeral. Welcome to a city that pushes the envelope, embraces new trends and plots a path toward the future. If you look around at the green coniferous forests that are another characteristic of this moist, temperate climate, you’ll understand why Seattle’s nickname is The Emerald City. The name has nothing to do with Oz, but there is a natural and self-made magic to the place. It’s casual and caffeinated, definitely into good food, arts, and recreation, and offers visitors plenty to see and do, along with a great big dose of fresh sea air. Evening Transfer to a Seattle area high school (TBC or similar). Arrive, setup and rehearse in this evening’s venue. Dinner as a group at a nearby restaurant or at the local high school (TBC). Performance at a local high school (TBC). This concert will likely be shared with a local ensemble. Following the concert, transfer and check in to a local area hotel. DAY TWO: SEATTLE (B,D) Morning Breakfast as a group at the hotel. This morning, enjoy an Underground Seattle Tour – a fascinating look into Seattle’s network of underground passageways and basements and a good introduction to Seattle history. After the tour, transfer to Pike Place Market. Seattle’s historic 100-year-old Pike Place Market is a popular destination for city residents and tourists alike. This multi-level building features dozens of artisans, vegetable growers, flower sellers, craftspeople, and more. Grab a bite to eat for lunch and browse the many unique gift and specialty shops. Afternoon Evening Lunch on own and some free time to enjoy Pike Place Market. Transfer to the hotel to freshen up for tonight’s activities. Load the coach and transfer to a local restaurant for dinner as a group. Following dinner, attend a Broadway-style performance or a symphony concert (TBC – subject to concert schedule). Afterwards, return to the hotel. State-of-the-art technology, a world-class collection of artifacts, and a dynamic ride-like experience make EMP the first institution of its kind in the world.
