Electrostatic discharge (ESD) generators are used for immunity test of electronic and electrical products. The Standards and Calibration Laboratory (SCL) of ITC has set up previously calibration service for ESD generators in accordance with the international standard IEC 61000-4-2 (2001 edition). In 2008, the international standard was updated for more stringent test requirements with measurement bandwidth specified up to 4 GHz. In response to the change, SCL has recently upgraded its calibration service in accordance with the newest international standard IEC 61000-4-2 (2008 edition). The following parameters of an ESD generator are calibrated: Output voltage First peak current of discharge Rise time Current at 30 ns Current at 60 ns
