Resources:
Big Picture Interactive Bible Storybook
Preschool (2-Kindergarten)
Give kids the big picture of God’s story with 145 stories with fresh new illustrations, a “Christ Connection” feature that
shows kids God’s plan for salvation through Jesus, and a free “augmented reality” app that brings the story to life
visually (3D) and audibly. One story a week is used to introduce the upcoming Berean Kids lesson and will aid parents
in teaching and discussing its truth.
The Gospel Story Bible
All Elementary (1st-4th grade)
This easy-to-read storybook introduces your family to many captivating people, places, and events from the Bible’s
Old and New Testaments, showing how each one ultimately points to Jesus. Vibrant illustrations, child-friendly
discussion questions, and Scripture references accompany each narrative. These stories are used each week to
introduce the upcoming Berean Kids lesson and aid parents in teaching and discussing its truth at home.
Long Story Short/Old Story New
Upper Elementary (3rd-4th grade)
The Bible can seem like a long story for an active family to read, but when you break it down into short sections,
family devotions are easy to do. Long Story Short and Old Story New will help busy parents share with their children
how every story in the Old and New Testaments point forward to God’s story of salvation through Jesus Christ. Use
these resources along with The Gospel Story Bible (above).
You won’t find a more important focus for a family devotional than the gospel of grace. Clever stories and good moral
lessons may entertain and even help children, but the gospel will transform them. The gospel is deep enough to keep
parents learning all their lives, yet simple enough to transform the heart of the child who has just learned to read. Ten
minutes a day, five days a week is enough to pass on the most valuable treasure the world has ever known.
Families with children in multiple age groups are encouraged to find a the devotional mix that best fits them. Berean
Kids recommends using resources that match your oldest child and help the younger kids along. Older children can
also lead family devotion time in order to keep them engaged.
